iTunes "create appletv version"

Hi, just downloaded the new itunes and I just noticed this under the "advance" tab.

Anybody ever use it or could explain it a little more?

iTunes can convert incompatible video bitrate and resolution files to those acceptable by the AppleTV. There are also settings to make an iPod or iPhone/iPod Touch version.
