I received my Vipod 5G the other day and synch'd it to my Powerbook. Everything is working perfectly, but here's my question:

Do I have to load the CD that came with the iPod (iTunes, etc.), or is just plugging, synching and playing okay?

I assume that the latest software (I'm running iTunes 6.0.1), etc. would transfer during the synching process, right?

Just wondering...

They include the CD for people who don't know how to use the internet... there are many.

Thanks. I was wondering, just in case.

The disk is more important for windows, I believe, where some drivers are required and iTunes might not be preinstalled (though I'd guess it's all available from Apple's site, there'd just be more to download). :)
