iPhone iTunes doesnt recognise iPhone

I bought an iPhone 3GS that was jailbroken and unlocked. It runs iOS 4.1 (8B117). It worked fine for a long time. Then all of a sudden the Itunes on my Windows laptop suddenly stopped seeing my iphone. I can charge the iphone but that is it. I cant sync or do anything else. i have downloaded the latest version of Itunes but still no love. Can anyone direct me on what to do? 😕

HELP!!!

It is possible you have a connector or cable issue. Do you have another cable to try? Or one you can borrow from a friend?
