I never use to have any problems with itunes store for music and movies. However since about the time Apple Music was introduced trying to download an album on Itunes can take hours. Downloading movies anywhere from hours to days and listening to itunes clips is useless. Also trying to stream purchased songs from cloud is non-functional with buffering literally every few seconds.
Maybe it is just a coincidence but it seems to have been a problem since Apple music was introduced. It is becoming such a big problem that I will have to find another source for digital downloads.
Tonight I tried renting a movie and whilst watching it, at one stage it kept stopping every few minutes and would take a few minutes before it would start playing the movie again. After 2 hours of stop start watching it had downloaded 800mb and I had only watch 40 minutes of the movie.... so much for a relaxing evening!
Sometimes it would say multiple days to download and the fastest was 4 hours left.
My broadband is functioning perfectly and all other downloads are very fast.
To emphasise this is an ongoing issue since last year and occurs on both my Macs. I have plugged into neighbours broadband and the issue remains. I will contact Apple support but in the meantime wanted to see if anyone else is/has experiencing similar issues or heard of such issues?
I am located in Australia.
