So I bought some DVD's today and wanted to backup my iTunes Library before heading off to college. Problem is, I only want to backup my music to the DVDs. I have about 16 gigs of Music, and a further 15 gigs of TV/Movies.

As far as I'm concerned, I consider my TV Shows and Movies replaceable, however, my music is decidedly not.

I really don't want to use 6 or 7 DVDs to backup 30 GBs of files, so is there any way of selecting a "Only backup music" option. Most of my music comes from CDs, so the iTunes purchases option isn't really useful.

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

How about deleting the Movies/TV Shows from iTunes but keep them in one place on your hard drive. Then backup to discs and it should only deal with the remaining Music that it can 'see'.
