I've just gotten hold of a 16GB 3GS off a colleague who just got an iPhone 4. I plugged it into iTunes and restored from a backup made from my 3G. It confirmed the phone was unlocked and activated properly, its synced all my data across, but when it comes to the end of the sync, it gives this error:

It has synced all the data and the phone works fine, but I can't for the life of me work out why it is giving this error.

Has anyone seen this before? I've reinstalled iTunes off the Apple website and it persists.

I'm using a 2009 Intel MacBook with OSX 10.6.4 on it.

on further investigation, the error occurs when syncing photos from iPhoto. When I set it to sync on Aperture, it works fine. Any suggestions? Is it possible to recover or reinstall iPhoto?

I've had the same issues, on my system i tried loading up the events i wanted to snyc one by one until i got the error message, and then i tried syncing that event again but doing it photo by photo, eventually norrowing it down to single photos in the events in question, if their removed from the event, the event syncs fine, luckily for me the dodgey photos weren't that imnportant so i just deleted them, but for other people it could be important and they might not want to delete them

I tried deleting the iPod Photo Cache like the Apple support section recommends and it made no difference. I've just spend 2 hours transferring photos into Aperture and organising them like iPhoto did, syncs to my phone absolutely fine
