Dear (real) Geniuses,
Feel free to move this post if it is in the wrong forum. I assume the answer to my question will be straightforward for a lot of you, so I really appreciate your help.
In thinking about switching to a mac - who doesn't - I am wondering about the following:
On my Sony Vaio (VGN-FE31Z), which has a 128mb graphics card (NVIDIA?), I have a 22" ultrasharp dell monitor connected on VGA. Now, with WMP playing video everything works a charm, but iTunes just dies (well, hangs so much as to be unusable) once I drag it from the Laptop monitor to the big screen. Why? Would this be the same if the PC had a digital connection to the display like a mac (and hence no problem on the mac)? Why can WMP cope but iTunes not?
Many thanks for helping me understand!!!
