iTunes Freezing

I have a SR MBP and if I move the cursor while playing video podcasts it freezes the entire computer (not just iTunes). Restarting is the only way to regain usage of the computer. What can I do to prevent this?

I was hoping the iTunes 8 would fix this. But, apparently this is not the case. 😕
