Hi everyone:)

I'm starting to get sick of opening a new US Paypal account every time I make a purchase on the US ITMS.

I think I am going to start buying iTunes gift certificates, instead, but I read on Apple's site that the iTunes gift certificate is for audiobooks and music:confused:

And it says the same thing for the iTunes prepaid card and the iTunes music card (is there any difference between the 2?).

Thanks!

AFAIK there is no difference. I know people add "Anyone?" posts to bump their message up, but it makes it look like your question has already been answered.

If there is no difference, why does Apple sell them separately? Can you use them both for TV shows and movies etc?

Also, if you have an iTunes gift certificate, do you have to spend it all in one go, or can you use it over time? Does it expire?

You don't have to spend it all at once. Whenever you make a purchse it just deducts if from you remaining amount. You can use it to buy an of the medi available on the store. I haven't tried them with games but I have with everything else. I'm sure they expire eventually but not sure when. I've had credits for the last 6 months so if they do expire it's a long time.

I think Gift Certificates can be for much larger amounts + they can be emailed to you so you can have it instantly.

Sorry, just to clarify, you can use an iTunes music card to purchase tv shows?
Absolutely, the iTunes (Music) credit is good for anything on iTunes.:)

To answer your original question, iTunes cards can be used on anything from music, apps, books or whatever... and oddly enough the App Store cards and iBooks cards can be used universally as well, from what I've encountered when getting a few as gifts.
The different markings on the cards are for advertising purposes. It nets Apple a few more gift card slots in stores and reminds people what can be bought on the iTunes Store.
