iTunes Home Sharing vs Air Video.

Why is it, that when I view a video via iTunes Home Sharing, the connection seems to be spotty at best, yet when I view the same video, in the same location on, my PC's HDD via Air Video, the connection is flawless?

Shouldn't Apple's baked in solution be superior? I hope this is one of the 'bugs' to be fixed in the next iOS update.

I know this is an old thread, but I just posted the same issue. Has anyone figured this out yet? Home Sharing is terrible. Air Video is perfect!
