My iTunes iOS backups never restore all the way! I have some anomaly with my iTunes. All of my iOS devices will backup just fine, but when I use those backups to restore it never restores all the way. I only get like 70% of the first home screen, wallpaper, network settings and that's it.

None of the rest of the apps or folders show up, or other settings. It's really freaking annoying. What is the point of backups and restore if they never work.

I'd say 5 of the last restores of 3 different devices incurred this error.

To resolve I have gone into the backups in iTunes pref and removed them, then created a fresh backup of each device hoping next time it would work. I've done that twice now and they don't work.

Any ideas or links to fixes?

My iTunes library is located on a Firewire 800 3.5 TB external drive.

When I read your thread, it seemed like we had the same problem, and my iTunes doesn't restore all the way either.
By that, I mean all updates and purchases do not restore and I have to run iTunes a second time and then it copies all to iTunes.
Takes a bit longer, but as long as it keeps a full update, I don't mind.
Hope you find a fix. Good luck.
