Ok so...

I have a 13" Black MacBook
2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
250 GB HD
Running OS X Lion
I also have a 2TB Western Digital EHD

Currently the issue is that when I try to open iPhoto, it immediately does not respond. It opens up, and the grayish loading circle runs constantly and never progresses into anything else

iTunes constantly fails when attempting to do multiple things at once

Safari closes frequently, and I can't even open tabs anymore without it needing to be Force Quit. I have to open new windows every time.

I have over 70GB of free space on my HD, and never run multiple high CPU using applications at once and I cannot figure out why I am hang so many problems.

Anyone have any ideas on what I need to do? I am getting the new iPhone here soon and I'd like to have iTunes and everything else working properly before I attempt to sync everything
