hi. i have a weird volume problem with itunes and my ipod, i think. here's the situation: my music often has different volume levels, probably because it all came from different sources over the years. as i understand it, volume normalizing solutions often just make everything too quiet and just don't work very well, so the best solution is to adjust each song's/album's volume independently. so that's what i did. but the strange thing is that if i adjust everything to be perfect level across songs in itunes, it messes up the volumes in my ipod! example: song #1 is way too quiet. so in itunes i put the volume way up high and that makes it equal with all my other songs (when i'm listening through my computer). then i update my ipod and listen to it and that song is super loud on my ipod! it's almost as if the ipod volume levels are different from the itunes volume, and adjusting them just throws that out of whack. i don't know what to do. please help me find a workable way to normalize the volume of my music without messing up the ipod volumes. there must be something i can do, right? (btw, i have a 2g nano, and i'm using itunes on a pc.) thanks!
