iTunes issues 10.9.4

my iTunes keeps saying my iPad mini is plugged in and i can eject it even when its not plugged in , is there a reason why it still thinks the device is plugged in when clearly it isn't

Isn't your iPad connected to the same wifi network as your Mac ?

If yes, and if you have enabled sync through wifi, your iPad is still "plugged" in your Mac (wirelessly).
