iTunes keeps prompting me to enter password..."your icloud session has timed out"

iTunes (while using iTunes) is constantly promoting me to enter my password, stating that my "iCloud session has timed out."

Does anyone else have this issue?

How might I resolve it?

I'm having this problem on my iPhone. I can't even update apps anymore. It asks me for touchID, then to enter password for my AppleID and then it does nothing.
