Hi, All

I've posted a similar thread about this a while ago, but got no responses. And while I've ignored it so far, with the purchase of a new MacBook it has come to haunt me again.

Okay so, I dragged a folder from an external hard drive into iTunes containing the songs I want on my new MacBook.

But, for some reason the file size shown in iTunes is 47.66GB whereas Finder says my iTunes Music folder is 50.38GB

Any reason why this is?

Thanks for the help,
Andrew

There might be duplicate files in your music folder.
I noticed that iTunes wasn't moving my old songs when I upgraded them to iTunes+, even though I was asked what to do with the old file and chose to move them to a "previous iTunes purchases" folder on the desktop.

I had to open the iTunes Music folder manually from the Finder, use a list view and sort by name to clean it up.
