iTunes (Match) 12.6 and HD Audio

I am seeing some of my converted high-res audio (24 bits 96 KHz and higher) being uploaded to iTunes Match / iCloud Music Library.

A 24 bit/192 kHz 2 channel track should stream at ~9216 kbps. I assume this screen shot is from iTunes and that the bitrate which it shows is incorrect.

What kind of bitrate/quality do you get when you play them from the iCloud Music Library? Is it better than the standard 256 kbps?

Or is your point that it is now matching your high-res files, albeit at the usual low quality?

I mean that for the first time iTunes uploads these higher bit-rate tracks (not sure if these are correct, as they have been converted from FLAC to Apple Lossless) to iCloud Music and are some even being matched.

EDIT: the same bit-rate is shown by VLC playing an original 24/192 FLAC audio
