If I am subscribed to Apple Music, do I still need iTunes Match? My renewal is up for iTunes Match, and I don't want to pay for it again if I don't need to. But Apple Music doesn't replace iTunes Match, does it? Like I still need iTunes Match to sync music that ISN'T available through Apple Music, right?

Not exactly - you can upload music to iCloud music library without iTunes Match fine. The difference is if you match music to the iCloud library, it will be matched with iCloud music (I.e it will have DRM)
So, if you have a large local library and add it to the iCloud library without iTunes Match you can't then delete your local copies of you want a DRM free version of songs that match
