Apple Music iTunes Match and Web Player

So I've got all my music ripped and stored on my Mac via Apple Music App. I don't have a subscription so I can only play this music on my Mac or from my phone since the music is loaded onto it via cable.

The question I have - if I buy iTunes Match, can I access all this music on the web player without an Apple Music subscription?

I tried this and my music synced to iCloud, but on the web player nothing appears.

Apple suggests this should work, but the wording is so poor it could mean I need an Apple Music subscription.

Doesn’t look like it. I have iTunes Match & just see the normal “Subscribe to Apple Music” when signed in at music.apple.com.

Never thought to look on the web version but my synced library doesn't appear in the sidebar either 😕
