Hello,

I wonder if anyone knows if those matched songs that I didn't purchase through the iTunes Store will be downloaded to my Mac ?

Basically I have ripped about 350 CDs (still owned by myself and in the basement) around 2004 when I got my first iPod. Back then the HDDs had much less capacity so I ripped them all in 128kbs.

If I could use iTunes Match to get a copy for many of those in 256kbs it would be very well worth the $25.

So thats why I wonder if I could download them all to my Mac?

Anyone knows or understands better how this iTunes Match works? Because I don't.

Cheers

It's called iTunes match for a reason. It matches your local library to the iTunes Store library and allows you to download them even if you never purchased them from the iTunes store.
