Hi Guys

I just wanted to let you know of a big bug in iOS 6.0 that myself and my friend discovered the unkind way...

It seems that there is a Major problem with iOS 6.0 and iTunes match over Cellular. This occurs both when restoring an iPhone 5,2 from a Previous iOS Backup or setting up an iPhone 5,2 as a new phone and enabling iTunes Match while DISSABLING "iTunes Match over Cellular". When the user then opens Music and starts to download entire albums/individual songs from the cloud to their device while CONNECTED to WIFI the music starts downloading without any issues; however, if the user then LEAVES the WIFI zone the Music CONTINUES to download while on 3G, LTE Etc... without warning the user, eventhough "iTunes Match over Cellular" is switched off. This has happened to myself and 2 other users since last friday's launch and has cost over $1000.00 in Cellular Data Charges!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect to Wifi
2. Switch on iTunes Match
3. Dissable iTunes Match over Cellular
4. Open Music and start downloading a number of albums and songs
5. Leave the Wifi Zone and let the phone drop back to 3G, LTE, E, etc...
6. Open Music and notice that in the top left next to 3G etc.. the activity circle is still spinning
7. Open iTunes and notice that the songs are still downloading

Just a heads up!

Cheers

I noticed this too, but on iOS 5. I called AT&T and explained them what happened and it aligned up with my usage and they waived the charges.

I agree though, a serious bug!

How could you rack up $1000 in data charges by downloading a few albums? Unless you have a really terrible data plan.

$1000 not just for myself, spread accross all of us its about $1000... was $200 for me
