iTunes Match & Meta Data

You seem like the best people to ask, if I match my library with iTunes Match and then re-download the song in a fresh library will the tracks have the iTunes meta data or what I've added to the files.

I have a load of tracks ripped which don't have the original release date and I'd like to use this to sort some of my playlists..

Thanks to anyone that can confirm this or not

Your meta data is kept. Songs that didn't have a release date before, will not have one after re-downloading the matched version either.
