iTunes Match Metadata Editing

Has anyone been able to successfully edit a song's metadata in iTunes and have it updated on your phone?

The new changes are reflected on my phone but I now have duplicates of all of the songs I changed, one with the new info and one with the old.

Also would like to know. I can't even get it to update at all. When I update nothing changes on my phone and then if I run Update Match, it goes back to the way it was before.

Not at all as convenient as I was expecting.... 😡
