I wanted to share my latest experience with trying to sync my smart playlists from my iMac to my iPhone and keeping them in sync.

I wiped all of the plays information off the desktop and this synced over to the phone (I did this by turning Match off and then on again on the phone).
All smart playlists I use were blank (Top 25 and most recently played).
I started listening on the desktop to songs and over the air the sync was fine on my iPhone.

However, when I plugged my iPhone into my iMac via cable for charging - all of the smart playlists on the phone were again screwed up. Each of the two smart playlists got way out of sync and looked like they were using old play info from the phone. The iMac playlists were unaffected by the cabled sync.

ANYONE know why the use of the cable sync throws everything off on the phone??

TIA
