Ok, I'm going to try to make this brief.

I have several albums that are "matched AAC" files for the most part, but have a few "uploaded mp3s" as well. Upon deletion of any file, I want iTunes to DISREGARD whether or not anything has been uploaded to iTunes Match, and find the matched AAC version instead (better quality) and make that the default downloadable file.

Make sense?

Lastly, asking "why don't you just re-download previous purchases" doesn't apply, because most of them weren't purchased through iTunes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the songs are uploaded that means Match couldn't find the AAC from the iTunes Store. If you want to delete an uploaded song, delete it from iTunes and check the box to also delete it from iCloud.

FYI: Deleting it from iCloud will remove it from your iTunes Match library which makes it inaccessible from any other devices as well.
