So I've searched all over the net and cannot find the specific answer to my specific question. I had iTunes Match for a year. I had both matched and uploaded songs in my iCloud. I did not renew my subscription which was no big deal.. Until now. One of my external hard drives containing music crashed on me. For the matches songs and any songs purchased through iTunes I still have of course. But I no longer have access to the ones that had to be uploaded to my iTunes Match cloud. Now I'm wondering if I resubscribe to iTunes Match now if I will regain access to those songs or if I will start out with an empty cloud again. Does this make any sense? If anyone knows or can help I would much appreciate it! I would be willing to resubscribe if I were to get those songs back but I don't want to waste that much money if it's not going to do what I need it to do.

You should be asking Apple about this.

Ask, "I left my account expire xxx days ago, did you put my account in dormant state, and if I re-subscribe, will I have to re-unload everything?"
