If someone would try to match a recorded song will it work and is that illegal, and can they know if you do that?

What do you mean by "recorded song"? If you mean by one you record yourself doing your own singing, I highly doubt it would match.

Sorry I mean the internet has many recording software that will record spotify, pandora, and iTunes radio

Check my post time against yours! I was replying to your non descriptive first post!

Thanks

I don't understand, but if I download a match song and put it on a USB drive and cancel my account. Does the song stay?

----------

Will iTunes Match non purchased but still 256 Kbps songs?

Yes the song stays because it was yours to begin with. ITunes Match is not a file sharing service. If you, say, have 1000 songs and iTunes has 900 of them in its catalog it will match them (set a pointer to its copy) rather than uploading them. This saves you time and Apple space. The remaining 100 songs are uploaded to Apple.

If you have low a bitrate version of a song it will match a 256 bit version (which you could download and keep). Other than that you are only getting access to your own songs.

So I need a credit card?

If I have 25 dollars already on my account will the credit card be charged?

The credit card won't be charged, your store credit will be charged. However you do need a credit card (you can remove it after iTunes Match it activated).

Likely the recorded version won't match corrected and it will end up being uploaded.

You're better off just downloading the song illegally, just saying.

Because it may not be a clean copy (Slight length differences, slight variations in quality, etc) match may not find it and just upload it.

Would it be okay if I would use a family members credit card (with consent)? And if I have gift card money on the account when I sign up will it be taken out of my itunes credit or the credit card? Please help

As I said:

As I said:

Never mind to both i forgot to delete the old track

But shouldnt it be showing the Music label it has in Summary and fill out all the metadata that exactly on the store?

Switch to the "Songs" list and enable the "iCloud Status" column.

No. It won't touch your existing metadata.

That's very stupid! Also are you having issues with cover art not showing on iPhone? Maybe it's an iOS 7 problem, lol.

It's 256 if they're matched, the original bitrate if they're uploaded.

Okay I just don't like how it says what you import quality you used and the size pretaining to that quality. For example 128 with 3.3 MB, when the cloud icon is there and you hit "info" and "summary"

My last question in when the song is deleted from the computer or iPhone and the cloud appears why does it say the original duration, in iTunes, and the Album in the album page on iPhone? Then when I download it or stream it, it go's to the correct-itunes duration. Will the original duration go away at sometime? I don't like seeing it
