Apple has left so many people confused due to the lack of info from Cupertino. For a company that claims "it just works" they've blown it on this one.

It's as though they hardly care. They know what their customers will tolerate and Apple pushes right to those limits. It's so obvious.

You've got to give them a lot of credit. They treat the customers anyway they want and the people keep taking it without complaint. Forking over big bucks for the "priveledge" of an Apple Logo. Simply Amazing.

At least it's good for my Apple stock. :D

I'm not sure what's so confusing. Sync, done. It was as easy as that for me. I'm not defending anything but I just fail to see how this can be so confusing.

I agree.

I enabled iTunes Match on my iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, all my music was their with a cloud, I click download and done, now my music is on my device. Simple.

Hey, the settings>usage thing saved me from a lot of swiping! :)

So... what happens if you never delete anything, and keep playing music off the cloud, and then your phone fills up... does it pick random songs (based on plays or something) and delete them to make room? Or maybe it throws up a warning notification that you're about to be out of space?

Airplane mode and iCloud and iTunes Match

I haven't seen any threads like this. On my iMac in my iTunes library I have over 16,000 songs. That's in excess of 66 gigabytes! I have purchased iTunes Match and I own an iPad2 and an iPhone4s. My songs are available on all three devices when NOT in Airplane mode. However, when I fly I put both my iPad and iPhone in Airplane mode and then can't access my music. I had a senior Apple tech work with me for over an hour to figure out how I could access my music while in flight. We plugged in my iPhone to my iMac and downloaded two playlists comprising 350 songs. The intention was to make those songs resident in my iPhone. That worked while I was flying however when I got to my destination I turned off Airplane mode and enabled iTunes Match. That brought back my 16,000 iCloud tunes but completely replaced the two playlists that I had downloaded at home. When I got back on the plane and enabled Airplane mode and disabled iTunes Match my downloaded playlists were not there. Apple seems bewildered by this problem. Has anyone had a similar experience and found a solution?
