Has anyone else experienced the situation where songs that were downloaded using iTunes match are deleted from the iOS device? I'm wondering if its a space issue.

1) I enabled itunes match on my iPhone
2) I created a playlist of all songs and told it to download everything. My music was downloaded locally on the iPhone
3) A week later, some songs were no longer downloaded locally
4) I updated all of my applications including some large ones like Infinity Blade 2 and now all my music is gone from my phone.

When I say gone, I mean locally, there is still a cloud symbol for every song allowing me to download it.

Is iTunes match making locally stored songs "expendable" in favor of using space for other purposes? I'm thinking #3 might be due to normal iPhone use such as taking 1080p videos. #4 could be directly due to the space required to download the app updates (which are HUGE)
