I have a huge itunes library. Much of that is live recordings which are not commercially available. I think that my purchased/ripped tracks would be well under 25,000. I'd like to be able to upgrade those tracks which were ripped at lower bitrate back when memory was expensive. If I were to create a "temporary" library which contained only the tracks I wanted to upgrade (<25,000), would I then be able to download the better bitrates and then replace the originals in my "real" library? Even if I cancel the annual subscription? The cloud storage doesn't really interest me that much. I would just see this as a way to upgrade my library without reripping hundreds of CDs.
