iTunes Movie Rentals in 4k?

Something I didn't hear mentioned: Will iTunes allow 4k Movie Rentals, or will it strictly be by purchase only?

The wording is a bit ambiguous, but it appears that rentals will be treated the same as purchases according to the ATV4K web page:

"Everything you’ve purchased from iTunes, along with your current rentals, shows up in your Apple TV app library. And if an HD title in your library is released in 4K HDR, it automatically updates for free."

Google Play rents 4K movies, so I don't know why Apple wouldn't.

Really, that's why I'm buying the box.
