iTunes movies Apple TV to iMac?

I bought a movie from iTunes on my apple TV. I am not sitting at my iMac. On itunes I cannot access the movie on my imac unless I rebuy it?..are you kidding me????

Are you sure? In iTunes goto the store and then from the quick links goto Purchased and then Films and it should be listed to download there.

Did you buy or rent? Rentals from an ATV are not available on any other devices, purchased movies should be.
