hi all...
on sunday i decided to make a library for different music - because i didn't want the songs on my ipod and i didn't want to auto update. my normal library is 15gb.

today, when i went to open itunes (for the first time since this) it opened to the new library. I tried opening iTunes while pressing shift (is this right?) to no avail. i also tried going to my original itunes library and finding the .itl file and tried opening it to no avail (new library opens).

Now, since doing that, iTunes will not open at all.... please help - those playlists and rating are precious to me - too much time.... if all else fails can i pull my playlists off my ipod (the music is still in my documents!)

thanks

Hold down option when you click on the iTunes icon, and you'll be able to point to whichever library file you like. It should work fine.

Edit: I see you're on a PC. So, I imagine you won't hold down option, but maybe alt works? I'm not sure.
