iTunes music in Soundtrack?!

I can not get music that I bought from iTunes to open in Soundtrack! I', trying to add a song into my movie but I just can't seem to make it work! Am I missing something here?

I can get it to import into FCE but not soundtrack! That doesn't make sense!

I'm think about importing to Garageband then back to soundtrack... There has got to be a better way!

I guess I'll just have to get it from Limewire....this is sad...

Songs bought from iTunes are protected AAC, so they cannot be exported.

You could burn them to CD and then reimport as MP3's or unprotected AAC's
