iTunes Music will Not Play nor Import

My Vista machine died but I was able to recover and backup my itunes music using a file recovery program.

However if I copy the itunes music to my reformatted computer, itunes after importing the folder will not see or play the music. I also cannot play the music nor import the files at all on my Windows XP machine either.


I have both computers authorized as well. I'm starting to think I'm screwed

Any help would be appreciated.

I managed to find a backup dvd i made at the end of september. So I'm only missing maybe 15 songs tops.

Thank goodness
