^what the topic says
i have a macbook pro and everytime it goes to sleep and i try to play a song on itunes it wont work
so i need to restart it
is this normal and can i fix it?

No, it isn't normal.

Did this always happen or suddenly start happening?

Do you get a specific error message when you try to play the song after wake? If so, type it in exactly as it appears or take a screenshot.

Is there anything unusual about your setup? Are the music files managed by iTunes or by you, and are they inside your user directory (i.e. in the Music folder) or elsewhere?

Is this the latest iTunes (7.3.2), latest Quicktime (7.2, I think?), and latest OS X (10.4.10)?

i did update check and everything is up to date
and i dont get any error messages
its just doesnt respond when i double click on a song
the files are managed by me

Have you set iTunes to automatically copy all your music to one location (the iTunes folder)?

In the song grid, the leftern most column, does the song have a "?" on a bubble near it? This indicates that iTunes cannot find the song at that path.
