I was trying to add files in the itunes library from my harddisk.. But why does it create another new mp3 file in the itunes folder? Then I will have the mp3 files doubled..
Why is it created this way??

And there is a funny thing. I tried to add songs in a folder. But the songs created double in the library. What happen??

That's because the "Copy files to iTunes Music Folder ... " option is on by default. If you don't want iTunes to manage the library, turn it off (it's under the Advanced tab in Preferences). Most people don't care about the file structure and let iTunes handle that, and delete the old music folders after importing.

You can add individual files without copying to the iTunes library by dragging from the Finder window to iTunes, and holding down Option when releasing the mouse button.
