So on the family computer (multiple users), the ability to import cds has gone out the window. Each time you try to import it says something about not having sufficient access to that command or something of that sort. The account that i'm using isn't an administrator, but has no restrictions in iTunes or any other areas.... except for the fact that it's not an administrating account. Does anyone know why this is happening? It has only started happening recently too. About a year of normal operation, and then without (knowingly) changing any settings, iTunes is being stubborn. What's up???
thanks

Repair your permissions and you'll be able to import again.

See, the permissions that allowed you to import a song file to the iTunes library got messed up so that you didn't have them set to allow you to do so anymore.

Do it from Applications->Utilities->Disk Utility then click on your hard drive, click on First Aid, and then click on Repair Permissions.

Good to do that once a month or when things get whacky.
