iTunes not recognizing iPhone

Today I went to plug in my phone and iTunes just came up with iPhone instead of my phone name and it was empty.when I plugged in my partners iPhone it works fine.
I have tried restarting both phone and Pc and nothin helps.
I'm guessing it's my phone since other one works.
Is there anything I can do to fix this so I can atleast back up my phone?

The way I read your post, iTunes can see it but is not seeing its name.

Can't you back it up from iTunes anyway? Then restore the phone.

There is no options.when plugged in it is a big white screen with iPhone written on it but nothing to click.so I can't back it up.
