Hi, recently my iPod Classic 80GB was skipping songs, so I decided to restore it with iTunes 10.5.8 Leopard. When I added all the music again, iTunes would stall on one particular song. So after several frustrating attempts of ejecting the iPod, I decided to unplug it. When I tried to plug it in again it would appear on the Desktop, but not on iTunes and iTunes would freeze and have the loading icon whenever I clicked it. When I attempted ejecting the iPod, it wouldnt let me. Eventually after many tries involving restarting and force quitting iTunes, it showed up in iTunes, but would not allow me to restore my iPod saying I didnt have permission. It also frequently says I am ejecting my iPod the wrong way when Im not.

Pleeeeease help me. I have no idea what to do!

Found this on Apple's forum. Can you put your phone into this mode, and then restore it?

Put the iPod in disk mode, hold Menu+Select > 6 seconds, then hold play & select for 6 seconds. Connect the iPod to your computer. It really ought to show up.
