iTunes not recognizing old library

    i did a fresh instal of Leopard, and i have my iTunes library on a separate internal hard drive, when i tell itunes where to look for my library, nothing happens

    Steps i am doing, mayb i am missing something in the process

    1. Go to preferences
    2. Advanced
    3. change Itunes music folder location to location where music library is located



    . . .. please help!!!!!

    itunes wont automatically add your music just by saying where its stored and hoping it will move it to the right place.

    i'd imagine it would work if you do this..

    reset itunes music folder location under the advanced tab in preferences and check the 2 boxes underneath.

    double click your internal drive and drag the itunes folder into your library.

    itunes will then copy it to your music folder and will be visible in itunes.

    but once itunes sees the itunes data file, it should use that file titled, 'iTunes Library', caus im trying to save all my playlists and what not
