itunes not seeing my iPhone 6 after update to 8.2
am i missing something? I can't find my phone anywhere in iTunes
any ideas?

I’m assuming you mean over Wi-Fi? Have you rebooted your iPhone since then and restarted iTunes? That always seems to do the trick for me.

I was trying to sync with the iPhone cable..I had bluetooth off and wifi on my macbook off because I use ethernet to get on the net.
I had never tried syncing over wifi..so I just turned on wifi and bluetooth on my phone and wifi on my macbook and it started syncing..not sure why iTunes didn't see it when connected by the cable?
I did try rebooting the phone and restarted iTunes and no syncing before I turned everything else on, weird.

and iTunes is still not seeing my iPhone when using just
the lighting cable, what gives?

Your cable went bad coincidentally?

If using a Mac I usually reboot both devices. That cures the wifi sync issues. If not, after reboots plugin iOS device to start iTunes and check that the Wifi Sync is checked on the summary screen.

I guess it was the cable, its brand new but, I figured it was the update!
I wiggled the usb end and now everything is working 😱

I've had quite a bit of trouble with cables so I always suspect them first. Glad to help. That's what this place is all about.
