    ...and the audio kicking in.

I've got the above Mini, 2gb ram. I'll be whacking a 500gb drive and maxing the ram shortly, but in the meantime I find the pause between pressing play/pause and music/podcasts starting really annoying - it only happens when I use the shortcut key, F8, not when iTunes is selected and I press play. Anyone else experience this with similar specs? I'm hoping 4gb ram will solve the problem but it seems strange to be experiencing this when only Firefox and iTunes are running. Running SL now, clean install, it was the same in Leopard.

My 2.53ghz UMBP is instant in comparison.

Mine (2009 2.0 4gb RAM 7200rpm HDD) does this a bit too, maybe a seconds lag. Though any further presses are almost instantaneous

My 2008 Mac mini w/4GB and 7200rpm drive and Leopard is very snappy here, esp 'unpause' after playing a track.

Going to a new podcast not ever played can take 1/2 sec.
