Had my computer for over a year. I would say last winter whenever I got an Itunes update I would get an "itunes invalid signature" so I would have to update manually. Fast forward to this past week. New Itunes update. When I tried to install manually I got a new error pictured below.

I tired to run as administrator, didn't work. I went into internet options to allow invalid signatures to install but that didn't work either. I really have no idea what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also like to add that I'm on windows 7 however when I right click on itunes under compatibility is says windows vista. Changed it to windows 7 and things ran extremely slow. So I switched it back to windows vista.

Have you tried making sure that you have "ownership" of the folder where iTunes is installed?
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...s/a354e4fa-9dc8-448f-8ba1-c2ceed1ab813?auth=1

What version of iTunes is installed NOW?
Try uninstalling iTunes, then reinstall.

Another article that may help you --- https://www.tenorshare.com/itunes-t...-or-update-fix-itunes-installation-error.html

The version on Itunes I have is 12.7 before the current update which is 12.7.1.

Also If I uninstall Itunes wont I lose everything?

Took ownership of the itunes folder hours ago. Didn't work. However "trustedinstaller" has ownership of program files which contains the itunes folder so should I take ownership of program files?

Yes, when you uninstall iTunes, it removes iTunes.
Uninstalling that does not affect the music that you might have on Windows.

... Deleting iTunes won't delete your music

You would be reinstalling iTunes anyway, correct?
You would need that, assuming that you also have an iPhone, or other Apple device. iTunes is the most useful software to maintain the iOS on your devices, and other kinds of tasks, like restoring an iPhone, if that becomes necessary.

Just curious - Did you get your new PC, then transfer a backup of your files and apps from an older PC, probably running Vista?
Or, did you originally install iTunes when you WERE using Vista on that older PC?
If so, then it might be a good plan to uninstall/reinstall iTunes, in any case.

Try the iTunes uninstall/reinstall first.
Did you also try the repair of the installer that was listed in one of those steps?

I wouldn't go screwing around with ownership of other program files, unless you know that you have similar issues with OTHER software (not just Apple's software)
I haven't used Windows 7 at all for 5 or 6 years, and only dabble a bit with Win10 now (which I like, but then what do I know? I'm not a Windows user - far from it.:D )

In 2015 I did get a new PC. My friend built it for me. Both my laptop and new computer are running windows 7. Downloaded Itunes as new on new computer first then transferred the files over from old computer to the new one. Again this all happened in 2015 so why am I all of the sudden having issues now is beyond me. Speaking of which, if you look at the photo I posted, in the error is has the date 2015 in it.

hmm... I would not say your issue is happening "all of a sudden"
You DID say that you have had problems upgrading since last winter.
... I would say last winter whenever I got an Itunes update I would get an "itunes invalid signature" so I would have to update manually. ...

Did you try out the installer repair tips in one of those links that I posted?
You might need to try a Windows repair install. Perhaps that will help your installer problems.

Your picture shows a file from a Korean language folder, so maybe 2015 was the last year that Korean language folder was updated by Microsoft (I don't know, just guessing), or was created as part of the first Windows install on your new PC (which you say was done in 2015). Your screen shot is not displaying a date - only a year, which again, may simply be year that was first installed on your PC.

If you are not confident about doing that Windows repair install yourself, maybe your friend (the PC builder) will be a good choice to help you.
