So I just found out about this iTunes pass and I'm not sure what to think.
I'm looking at the pass for the Fray, and for $16 it gets me eight songs that I could get without the pass, and as of right now what's planned is only one more song and two more videos.
I realize that the pricing structure is such that you won't pay more than the value of what you get, meaning that more items surely will show up in the coming months, but what is the point of this pass?
What is the incentive to buying something, something which I don't even know fully what I'm buying as things will be listed in the coming months, and what will become of those songs and videos once the pass expires? Will they not be listed i iTunes anymore?
I guess I just don't understand the point--IMO Apple should just offer all the crap to anyone at the same individual prices for individual songs--I can't seem to be bothered buying a pass just because I see a live version of one song I want, and then get stuck with potentially a bunch of other crap tracks--seems an awful lot like the days of buying CDs, and being stuck with a CD of garbage when all you wanted was two or three good tracks on the album.
