iTunes: picky tunes ?

If one uses for an application like KeepVID to safe the music from a let's say
a youtube video , I can copy the file to Tunes , but I noticed that it won't be played
iTunes skipps to a file which for some reason it does like to play.

Anyone different experiences or suggestions on how one iTunes can ge set to play these audio files ?

What codec is the audio file?
