Has anyone else been kinda disappointed in how the majority of artist are using Ping? I got the impression that Ping would be a good tool to see upcoming albums and concerts and stuff like that from your favorite artists. But instead everyone seems to use Ping as if it were Twitter, spouting useless crap about their lives keeping the information I want to read out of sight. Looks like I will be disabling Ping in my iTunes as it has become just wasted space.

Ping? Is that still even there? It had "become just wasted space" on the day it was launched.

I haven't even used it.

It's a good service but it is just misused by the majority of artists. If I'm following an artist I want to know when they are coming out with a new album, not how they feel about the weather.
