iTunes play count sync

If I have two albums with the same song on them and I usually play it from one album, is there any way that I can make iTunes count both as played?

In a word no.
It's a seperate file/song.

They, the two songs, have data that says each is from a different CD. You can of course, delete one song, and use the remaining one, linked to both play lists.
