iTunes podcasts not updating

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but my iTunes hasn't updated any of my podcast feeds since Friday. It is set to update every hour, but it is not doing that. All of my podcasts last udated Friday at 2:10 pm.

I tried restarting iTunes and restarting my computer. I deleted one podcast and then added it again from the iTunes store. It updated when I added it, but it has not updated since then.

If I click the refresh button to manually update, it spins once, but does not update.

Podcasts on my phone update.


I'm on a Mac mini, OS X 10.9.5, iTunes 11.4 (18).

Any help would be appreciated.

Update

I went to Preferences - Store and unchecked "Sync podcast subscriptions and settings" and they updated again. If I check that box it goes back to not updating.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding that feature, but it doesn't seem to be working to me.
