iTunes price gouging???

i was using my friends macbook pro while i was doing some work...ill check it next time i use it...but everything said $1.69 a song so i didnt know what was going on...

Seems like in the last day or two a lot of peoples iTunes has been taking them to a different country iTunes Store. A side effect of the 7.0.2. upgrade?

All the songs say $1.50Fr on my Mac.
Is that like French currency or something?
EDIT: This is before the 7.0.2 update. Let me install the update and I'll let you guys know if it fixes the problem.
EDIT #2: Nope. Installed the update and still getting the price of $1.50Fr beside each song.
EDIT #3: FIXED! If you click on your e-mail address in the upper-right corner of the iTunes Store and enter your password, it will say (or at least for me it said) something along the lines of "This account is only allowed to make purchases in the US Store. Click OK to be transfered to that store."
All set now, hope this works for you guys. 🙂

Also, if you go to the very bottom of the main iTunes Store page, it should say My Store: and give you a pull-down box of countries.

Strange, I didn't even upgrade to the new version and the store is showing up all messed up for me.
Yes, a number of people have mentioned in the various threads on this today that they hadn't yet updated to 7.0.2...looks like it's a bug on Apple's end rather than the iTunes end.

I too opened up the store today (pre-7.0.2) and was apparently transferred to the Japanese store when I tried to D/L the free song of the week, but still saw the U.S. Store. So, I immediately downloaded the new version. Hopefully all will be right again on my little iWorld.

thats the second time it happened to me(But i wish i had access to the japanese store, they have the new U2/Green Day song)I got transferred to the Japanese store.
Artists Missing?
It looks like some artists have disappeared too. I can't find the Red Hot Chili Peppers or the Foo Fighters. Did I miss their record label(s) pulling out of the store or something?

Odd...a search for Foo Fighters doesn't pull anything up. But if you go to Music --> Alternative, there's a small banner ad for their upcoming album pre-order. Clicking on that and then on the artist arrow icon takes you to a page with a bunch of their albums.
The iTunes Store has definitely gone nutty today.
